brno model 2 ejection problem

#1 Post by zzr1100 »

hi all. ive got a '92 brno model 2 (cz452) which wont eject about 50% of the time (it always extracts) ... the case seems to be getting stuck in the claws ..
trawling the web has come up with either putting a shim under the ejector, reprofiling the claws or getting new claws ...
does anyone here have any experience with this sort of issue ?

How does it eject, hit an ejector plate? Has that worn down?

Is the casing bypassing the ejector stub or hitting the stub, changing angle, but not releasing?

Had this once with my '73 dated Mod. 2

STRIP & CLEAN the bolt! In my case a lot of residue had built up in the bolt body over the decades. Failing a complete strip down/clean, give the bolt a couple or three cycles in an ultrasonic cleaner.
(NOT an instruction to do the work in your socks, the bolt is what needs stripping, not you....You just NEED sandblasting tongueout )

the case is touching the ejector .. changing angle and staying in the claws ... ill take the bolt apart tonight and give that a go ... trawling the web suggests it might be worth re-tentioning the circlip on the bolt that holds the claws ???

What ammo is this with?

Try other brands & versions...may just be that particular type has a thick case rim

Are the claws making any marks on the cases? Are they hooked at all? If they're held in with a circlip does another part of the mechanism open them to release the cart? Is the stub big enough? Can it be replaced?
Not sure if I'm helping, just thinking out loud :-)
