All clay sports as well as wildfowling, so a great all-rounder I guess.Joe Pugh wrote:What discipline are you going to shoot trap, skeet, sporting?

Are you looking specifically for an over and under or is a semi auto a possibility to? I have a browning maxus up to a 3 1/2 inch catrage for serious wildfowling a good speed load system so faster reloads and breaks clays just as well and cycles 24gram catrages to. Personaly I love it :) but a berretta 682E O/U is a good gun to cant fault it too :)

O/U definitely.
Semi-auto... not fussed either way. Got to be 99.99% reliable though.

Well as said before you have many options. I work on a clay ground and you do see trends going on, at the moment it tends to be the Beretta DT10-DT11 going on (mainly trap and sporting). And with the Brownings as always the B525-725 (mainly sporting but better all rounder) which can be found for around your price range. It may be worth having a look at the lesser known but still great guns like Caesar Guerini or Blaser which do a very good gun the Blaser F3.
But the most popular by far I have seen around on the clays at least is the Beretta A400 auto (The Blue receiver people really seem to like). Great gun haven't got one myself but everyone i ask say they have never had a problem with it so long as you look after it. If you don’t intend on cleaning your guns like so many do/or don’t then possibly avoid auto's as they do need a bit of a good clean now and then.
Hope you find what your looking for, keep us posted.

I was recently on the lookout for another O/U;
I had a look at a Bettinsoli. to my eye, they are cracking vfm and well made. The gun dealer told me they were a very dependable gun; he sells all sorts so I dont think he had any particular allegiance. I didnt buy one but only because I got sucked in to PSG and have been looking at pumps/semiautos/boxfed guns ever since!

Have to agree with that. I have had my Bettinsoli for around 6 years and apart from being a little tight to open when new I have no major issues with it.
They offer great value for money and well worth looking at and trying out.

I have a Fabarm Elos B that I am quite happy with. Had it for a couple of years now and it has been 100 percent reliable. http://www.shootinguk.co.uk/reviews/sho ... gun-review
