The NECO gauge utilizes v-blocks along with different mandrels and anvils to measure the variation occuring in your cases and loaded rounds. It uses a GEM dial indicator, which can be positioned almost anywhere on the case/loaded round. The NECO tool is able to measure the following:
1) Cartridge case -the curved ""banana"" shape of the cartridge
2) Cartridge case -the relative variations of wall thickness
3) Cartridge case -case head out of square with body
4) Individual bullet -out of round 5) Loaded round -seated bullet runout The NECO gauge is very well made and comes complete with the dial indicator, the necessary chords and anvils for holding different size cases, and most importantly a 21-page instruction booklet.
The indicator included with the gauge is a high quality .001"" GEM dial indicator and actually represents a good portion of the cost of the tool.
