It's a natural gully with a 70 foot incline at the end of it. The 400 yard range has target slots every 50 yards up to the 400 yard point, I have only just finished it and got done what I wanted to get done this summer. The last thing I want to do before winter is get the firing point covered to keep the sun, rain and snow off when shooting.

Blu please take this in the insanely jealous and envious tone that it's meant to be
I FU%^ING HATE YOU
I know you do Alan, but that's okay, I'm shallow enough to get over it

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

No, seriously...a little slice of paradise tongueout
rufrdr, it's pretty cool watching the critters huh. The other morning when I was out with the dogs we came across what I can only describe as a very very large painted turtle laying her eggs. By the time I got back to the house, grabbed a camera and got back to where she was she had gone but pretty neat to see all the same.

Dougan, we think so as well mate. All my working life I tried to get a job up here but positions were always like gold dust, I always said that when I retired we would move here and buy a place with some land. For me it's the closest thing to perfection.
