CZ455 Varmint vs CZ455 Evolution

#1 Post by Les »

Does anybody know offhand whether the action and barrel on the CZ455 Evolution is different to that on the CZ455 Varmint?

Does the Evolution have a different trigger mechanism?

Any info gratefully received! sign92

I believe that they are the same, with the same choice of barrel lengths (16" and 20"). I think it is only the stock that is different. I'm no expert though.

You could try giving Dauntsey Guns a call. That is where I got my varmint from and they seem to know what they are talking about.

I always thought they were the same, too, but I've heard conflicting reports about different triggers etc. Dauntsey have said that they are the same - although other shops have said the opposite - but on balance it seems as though it is only the stock which is different.

I have a 455 Evo that I dropped into a different stock. Exactly the same as the Varmint model.
