slide fire stocks section 5??

#1 Post by joe »

slide fire stocks that make you bump fire a semi-auto to produce near full auto type rate of fire very popular in the states would these be considered section 5 even for a .22lr as technically you are converted the rifle to a select fire full auto ???

HOW would the stock convert the gun to full auto?
Does it involve a new sear set?

Or...is the trigger still being activated per single shot??

It techically is. Slidefire stocks enable accurate repetition of the bump-fire technique. It's still one shot per trigger pull; just faster.

...somehow I don't think .22LR has the recoil to make it work though. ;)

I stand corrected! :good:

[ETA]: Yes, fitting the stocks will be illegal. :bad: Maybe.....

I was almost tempted to buy one but I have enough problems with Durham as it is! :bad:

...obviously, if using the same logic as the local police here, they will be S5
(slam fire shotguns are borderline S5, as they keep firing if you keep the trigger pulled back kukkuk )
...though one FEO almost seized an SGC Rifle too when I told him it was semi-auto (he was asking about its lever release system!)- the FACT it was a .22 escaped him somewhat: not big on details, some FEO's up here!!

Midway UK used to have slide fire stocks for the 15-22 listed, at £500, and recently I see they no longer have them for sale.

Either nobody bought them due to the price, or they thought better of being a test case.
