I shot a 3 gun comp yesterday, S1 shotgun, S1 semi auto 22LR and a fecking BB gun - how stupid is that

Dave, not at all mate, some days I just can't believe some of the things I read on here. I got this picture in my mind of using a BB gun as a part of the 3 gun and thought FFS

BTW I saw what you did there :55:

so what about cutting say a 30 inch barrel down to 25 ? still sec 2 but can you diy it ?

A rifled tube is just that and not a firearm component, ie a blank, and uncontrolled.
However, a firearm barrel doesn't have to be chambered to be a barrel. If it is threaded it is still classed as a barrel and not a blank. Some firearms do not have a chamber in the barrel.

Yes. You cannot go below 24".

S4 Firearms Act 1968.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
