Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

R Macleod & Son

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

What can I say.... R Macleod & Son had a new Kahles K312 3-12x50 advertised for GBP600 less than Uttlings - that was a good start, I ordered the 'scope yesterday around 11:30 yesterday morning and it was here on the door step with Royal mail 08:30 this morning. So it travelled 550 miles in 22 hours over night on a normal delivery. A big well done to R Macleod & Son and Royal Mail.

Well done guys!!!

This is it, a huge lump of a thing nearly as big as my PMII - The 34mm tube seems to gather light very well and the true mildot reticle is in the first focal plane which is always good for ranging.

Yes it is :)

I tracked down some 34mm Apel rings last night to go with it and picked up 6,5-284 brass, dies and 139 Scenar's today so things are progressing. Just need a sling and some swivels and it is about done.

Oh and the rifle home as well.

That looks an awesome scope and with 1/8 MOA clicks too!

Yup 1/8 MOA clicks and a the elevation turret gives a staggering 80MOA of elevation which seems excessive given that it is only 3-12X magnification, yet windage is only 8MOA in either direction. The reticle will allow me to hold if needed.

The elevation turret is a 5 turn but does not index up, instead it has a small indicator that rises from the middle to show how many winds up you are. How it works for us it yet to be seen.

The parallax is graduated in 50m increments to 850m and then to infinity and has has a positive index for each increment. All very nicely thought out by the look of it.
