Got a couple more enquiries to make now I've had a quote back from NWCP. Mark Bradley and Paul Oglesby spring to mind. and Then I'll decide which to go with.
Unfortunately, neither Mark nor Paul are currently producing any 22 AR's. Mark did a very brief run this summer but has told me he won't be doing anymore for a couple of years as he hates doing them. Paul is still designing his new bolt and he told me that this is at least 6-8 months away.

Quite taken with the Tacital Solutions though.
Funny, Paul didn't hint at that earlier in this thread...
I shall have to phone him and see what the state of play is...

I have a 12.37" Samson Evo rail on a 16" barrel. Just right for bipods or getting down with your inner Chris Costa.
With a hiperfire 24C trigger, works well in a CMMG, was crap in a 15-22, the flat trigger CMC 3.5lb is excellent in a AR rimfire.
Why is that on the Quad Rail "jail" - just personal preference? I actually quite like the look of them, and the flexibility of being able to swap and change stuff anywhere on the forend without having to think ahead to put additional bits on the forend to attach stuff to...
Regarding Mark at Bradley Arms and his .22 rifles ;
I got one of his latest batch earlier this year - a .22 upper to use with my Bradley Arms CSR rifle lower. I loved it so much and was using it more than I expected so I tasked him to do me a dedicated lower for it.
When talking about his .22 production he said that rumours about him no longer doing them ARE NOT TRUE. He will do fewer than fullbore but he will still do some.
The problem is, they really are a labour of love - there is no real profit in them for Mark.
Having said that, if you want a .22 AR and you want the best, do consider one. If Mark has the time and agrees to build you one, you will NOT regret it. It might not be cheap but if you buy one intending to keep it a while, the long term cost per year is lower than buying a few cheaper alternatives, spending money on accessories and losing on depreciation when selling them for the next cheaper alternative etc etc
How many do you see offered for sale second hand ? Very, very few - an indication that those who have bought them, love them and keep them !!

Spoke to Mark about 3 weeks ago as I really want a BAR22, he told me that he would not be making anymore this year or next year. If you know he's changed his mind then please let me know as I'll be back on the phone to him ASAP

Well I just got off the phone to Paul and he's up for building me the rifle that I want...
