Yeah I guess it depends on the rifle. My Savage loves CCI and Winchester yet won't shoot worth a damn with Hornady no matter the bullet or weight.

Shoot CCI .17HMR FMJ's in my Savage - very accurate and have had no problems getting them from Henry Kranks via my local gun shop :good:

I use to use them when i had a Sako Quad, only used them at 100m though but at that range it was pretty easy to get sub 1MOA groups - providing the wind was blowing the right way! Not cheap though, more than twice the price of .22lr (£11 for 50 IIRC)

You will bore very easily shooting .17 HMR at 100 yards.

V bull, v bull, v bull, repeat as necessary. Last time out we started shooting the tacks that were holding the target faces on.
