Use an 870 in Manual...though the plan is to also enter a few Std. Div. comps in 2015, with an old A5 (once tricked up)

Will do ! I reckon part of this is im used to shooting carbine sized guns that are pretty light , probably need to put 1000 or so shells thru it over the course of a few weekends to get the feel of it a bit more .BamBam wrote:Nowt wrong with the 26", when it's back come shoot with us up at Rossendale. if we get an early enough start they'll be enough time to get a texas star or two out and some clay launching poppers.Oldskool wrote:Think it's 26" .BamBam wrote:What model M2 do you have?
A well sorted M2 is the bee's knees. I couldn't find a 24" M2 so I bought a 24" Stoeger M3000. Almost the same thing really and half the price.
Keep getting told M2 is t' future, spose I will have to see when it gets back from t' gunsmiths

Re: Your preferred shotgun for practical
Why did you buy the Saiga over the Vepr? I put both side by side and I was put off by the way you plug the mag in to the gun, it rocks in like an AK, whereas the Vepr slots in like an AR. I haven't bought one yet, but I am certainly leaning towards the Vepr, just curious why you went the other way.
Drum mags look awesome!
