A not so new Newbie

#1 Post by Mossy »

Hello Everyone,

I got my first air rifle (well a smooth bore Daisy BB gun) when I was 8 or 9 years old and shooting has been a passion ever since. I flirted with shot gunning for a while, way back when you could hold semi's. I enjoyed my Remington 1100 but it was always rifle shooting that held my real interest.

I've held a FAC for 30 plus years, except for a short spell where I gave up shooting due to the commitments of young family.

I currently have 7 rifles plus an open slot for another 0.303. Hopefully a No.4T.
My rifles range from a 0.22LR Sako Quad to a tactical 0.308 built by Dave Wylde with a SMLE, K98, Speedmaster and a 6.5 x 55 Sako 85 in between. My collection is finished off by a lovely Martini Henry which I thoroughly enjoy shooting.

I shoot at a club in Aberdeen where there is a great bunch of guys and gals. Always helpful. Always friendly.

I enjoy reading the Forum posts and will contribute with a few of my own now and again.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum Mossy, it is always good to hear from people with some older rifles. Now you need to post some pictures!

Ovenpaa,

Have been trying to attach a couple of photos of my rifles but keep getting the following message:

'The image file you tried to attach is invalid'

Probably not the right place to ask this question but not sure how to raise a general query.

Any ideas?
