Seemed to be pretty good, based not far from where I work.

Have already emailed Ron about slinfold and a couple of my colleagues sound interested about having a go too

Hi StanGT I have a H and K 416, I have had it for approx 1 year and shot approx 3,500 rounds to date. I chose the HK for a number of reasons: full metal upper and lower so approximates to same weight as my .223AR. Reliability- when I researched the HK scored highly. Since owning mine from new, no issues and flawless performance with zero FTF or extraction issues. Shot mostly CCI but more recently some Winchester white box. Cleaning - The cleaning is field strip only which means no disassembly (unless you want to void your warranty). In practice ,I clean after approx 500 rounds, separate upper from lower and then clean through the ejection port/mag well and so long as your are patient, no issues. Accuracy- very good, again no issues. If you are after customising, this is where you will struggle. No options for trigger upgrade that I have found too date ( anyone know of aftermarket options?) which is probably the only thing I would like to change. Also note forward assist and bolt carrier lock back are dummies apparently to reduce risk of slam fire. Overall really happy with this rifle and definitely would recommend.
