Does anyone know if you have import taxes and VAT to pay on items bought from the Vertabrae rifle accessories shop in Norway???

I've made several purchases from Vertebrae, at least a couple of which ran into several hundreds of quid and I've had no chrages at all.

No charges.
Had a few items from them.
Very good to deal with.

Yes, should have said that.

I always deal with Joachim Hollekim - top guy. Shipping from Vertebrae normally takes about ten days as it comes by a circuitous route via Denmark.

I'll certainly be buying from Vertebrae again.

Very clever. Presumably they have their stock or part of their stock on EU soil to get around unattractive import duties being passed on to customers.

Thanks chaps, I'm only asking as I kinda fancy the new GRS Bolthorn chassis but if there will be a few hundred pounds on top I'll give it a miss!
Do all there parcels come via Denmark? Does that save on charges?

When I said that their packages come via Denmark, AFAIK that's just the shipping route nothing more.

With regard to the Bolthorn chassis, Vertebrae'sprice is certainly much better than the ridiculous £1100 fixed stock Highland Outdoors are quoting.

Yeah just had an email from Joachim and UK parcels are subject to VAT. So likely to be adding a couple of hundred to the bits I was going to buy.

I phoned Highland Outdoors yesterday and they apparently haven't heard of the Bolthorn and don't stock it. Did you hear differently? I quite fancy giving it a shot if I can get my hands on one!

Highland Outdoors posted about the Bolthorn on FaceySpaceyBook yesterday, so someone was telling you porkies.

A Bolthorn fixed stock for Tikka T3 will cost you £844 (incl. VAT) + shipping at today's exchange rate as opposed to £1100 + shipping from a British dealer unless you can negociate discount, I suspect the Norwegian deal will save you a couple of hundred quid, but it's still an expensive chassis.

Whilst I like the Bolthorn, I would probably look elsewhere.
