After an awesome weekend on the UKPSA safety course I realised I needed a new shotgun slip, then the zip broke, confirming it!
As the UKPSA like you to take the gun out vertically, muzzle up, a double zipped slip/bag would be ideal as most others only have one zip at the bottom, making it a little awkward.
Does anyone know of any that would suit? Needs to be 52" or thereabouts with a bit of storage space for chokes etc.
The Buffalo River ones look OK, and decently priced, but they don't state that they have a double-zip.
A fully opening one would be ideal too in case a flat surface is needed.
Please remember I'm a Yorkshireman, not a regular at Bisley, when looking at the prices
Cheers

Buffalo River are very shoddily made Chinese tat
What do you mean by double zipped?
All the shotgun slips I've seen had the zip end at widest part of the slip.
Never seen any that were the opposite way (and that includes time in a factory that made several models of gunslip for UK traders/brands)
If you are handy with a needle, just sew the edge of your broken slip together.
Last new zip I put in took over 10 hours, as I only handsew.

Re: Double-Zip shotgun slips?
Like a normal bag-type zip, with 2 zip-pulls, so the opening can be anywhere you need it, like at the top instead of the bottom, or open the bag fully and lay it flat. I have a rifle bag that will do it, just not long enough.saddler wrote: What do you mean by double zipped?
It's the zip pull that has broken, I have some pulls that I could use to repair it but it really needs replacing with something that stops me waving the shotgun about like a lightsaber swatting birds as I try to get it out of the bag vertically

Re: Double-Zip shotgun slips?
By prior arrangement, dig a deep, narrow hole. Lower the cased gun into it, zipper end first. We'll unzip the case and take care of the gun so you don't wave it about.
