newly acquired martini henry carbine

#1 Post by jay851 »

hi all
just got my hands on a mh carbine. stock is a replacement, and some pitting around the chamber end of the barrel. knox has been filed a bit but it has not been cut and is a good shooter, i presume to remove some pitting maybe. it is missing the sight cover screws so need to get them if anyone knows a source. just need to get it put on my ticket and then get it to the range.

Quite a rare beast according to the knowledgeable chap from forgotten weapons, the ic 1 stands for interchangeable. It was an attempt to make a cavalry and artillery carbine from the same chassis just by swapping the ancillary bits.
