Henry Repeating Arms - great customer service

Had a good experience with a gun shop or rifle maker? Found a good deal? Tell us about it. Had a bad experience, TELL THE GUN SHOP!

Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

Nah, .303 please. ;) I've always fancied one of those Winchesters chambered for 7.62x54R.

I have been after one of these lovely rifles for a while. I almost bought one at the Shooting Show but as I had spent a fair amount of my hard earned already I thought I would be pushing my luck with she who must be obeyed. I have an open .357 slot on my FAC so my search continues. I Handled one after having a look at a rossi puma the difference was night and day.... As for an ideal zombie gun yes they would be though I think a Ross Rifle M10(MKIII) would be an awesome zombie slayer, Straight pull .303 :)

Well, I took it to the range and it operated perfectly:

The action is extremely smooth and can be operated pretty quickly:

Very pleased! I was firing the 156gn Magtech cowboy .357 loads and the weight of the gun keeps the felt recoil low. I may enter the advancing target comp. with it at Bisley in August.

They are fine rifles with the smoothest action of all the underlevers save the Savage 1899, which has to be the finest underlever ever made.
Thanks to the OP and also the above comment. I'm after one and didn't even know 'Henry' existed as my club only has Winchesters and Rossis.

One of our club members was after an under lever and was looking at getting a used Marlin of dubious origin but has ordered a new Henry instead :)
