Hi guys, hey just curious, but why would you need a muzzle brake on a .22 rimfire?

Makes it look pretty... :p

Most 10/22 in the UK seem to come threaded for a suppressor, which I don't use, so it is a fancy thread protector, the reason I mentioned it here, it was very cheap, especially coming from the US.

I fitted one to my 308 mainly to pi$$ off the people either side of me who use them Russian type Guns with Russian type ammo that sounds like they are filled with amatol and shakes the hut to its very foundations.

so you could bump fireit and stay on target  lol,

but seriously, personally thats not what i'm after, i just want something other than a thread protector, but i'm given to understand those that shoot it in practical comps, find they can double tap easier?? could be wrong on that though

Fair enough, like I said was just curious. I reckon if I was after a better double tap I'd be looking at adjusting or swapping out the trigger, to me a .22 doesn't have enough kick or muzzle flip to warrant a muzzle brake.

I position myself purposely on the 200 point so that my empties have the greatest possible chance of ending up in the cup of tea belonging to the man to my right.

Me just thinking loud...can you "reverse" muzzle brake on .22 to add some fun factor/generate "recoil"...?
