If you take the molten 'schlumb' and pour it into paper egg box dents they make excellent fire starters.
I have 10 kilos of clean wax sitting in my storage cupboard from my bees just waiting for some use.

Some muppet on the 'bay has a 4.5 kilo block of "vintage" saddlers beeswax
Dumb sods are asking £95 for it
Re: Can you guess what it is?
Refined wax runs about a pound sterling for an individual ounce or about £35 a kilo, less for bulk.
Cleaning it is not too bad but is energy and time intensive, Refining it much more so and generally beyond the average DIYer so £21 a kilo is not too bad.
There some very poor quality around that is cheaper but only good for smelly candles, not treating leather.
