Anschutz rail

#1 Post by phaedra1106 »

Basically I have the MDT Tac21 stock and an Evo FTR bipod which has the Anschutz rail adaptor so doesn't fit. Craig at Evo kindly sent me there QD stud adaptor which, while it works is nowhere near solid and the rifle can traverse horizontally as the QD stud moves or the pin in it does, also means I either have to leave the bipod fitted or mess about using the bolt that holds the locking handle to put it on/off.

So, the idea is, fit a section of Anschutz rail to the bottom of the chassis, it has the usual threaded mounting holes for picatinny rails so it could screw into a couple of those and then fit the bipod the "normal" way using the supplied rail adaptor and locking screw.

Anyone know where I can get a section of Anschutz rail at a sensible price?

This is the Evo QD adaptor fitted and screwed to part of the Evo bipod, it's very loose as there's a lot of play with the pin through the QD stud hole and free space under the adaptor plate (the black insert)

This is the sort of rail piece I'm looking for (or similar)
