BR99 - out of the box ?
Can the Bora be used straight out of the box ?
I know one can fettle any firearm for increased useability but will it work ( accept / release mags without undue force, cycle ammunition ) straight out of the box ?

To me, with what I've read and no hands on experience, the Bora does work from the box and only after some have "fettled" are there issues...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Re: BR99 - out of the box ?
My experience is the BR99 works quite well out of the box however it benefits from a few boxes of cartridges through it to break it in, typically expect a few FTF and FTE eject issues however they seem to be over the worst of it very quickly. Factory sights are grim and best discarded and an oversized charging handle is always a good move.
5 round magazines are not so bad for fit however the 10 round ones mean some minor fettling.

Out of the box, yes. If you get after market mags, then maybe not.
Sights are poop though..

With 5rd BR99 or 10rd MKA1919 mags in my experience they generally run as well as any other semi-auto shotgun (although i did see one absolute stinker last year that just wouldn't behave).
Filing out the magazine well is all that is required to get the 10rd BR99 mags working. Things only require 'proper' fettling once you start with the aftermarket stuff
