SSG-69 Magazine parts

#1 Post by JSC »

I've got 5 and 10 round plastic SSG-69 mags here which have broken locking tabs. The rest of the mag is fine, but I can't find anywhere selling replacement parts for these mags.

Does anyone have those parts or know of a source?

Sadly the SSG69 is set to be discontinued from the end of this year so spares will become increasingly difficult to find.

Perhaps this would be a good application for a 3D printer. Or even getting some made from Delrin or ali with a CNC? I wonder if it would be worth commissioning a batch, as there must be quite a few people out there with this issue?

Joe at Gunshop had some fabricated for his sons SSG69 when it had the same problem if I remember rightly - call him, he might be able to help.

Isn't there an AI conversion for the SSG now?

There are several, but personally I would want to keep that particular rifle original unless I had no other choice.

I have one somewhere - I'll dig it out over the weekend .

I spoke to Joe today. Unfortunately he only had enough made for his needs at the time and it sounds like it was done as a bit of a favour, so no chance of getting any more made by the same person.

If there is enough interest, I am quite prepared to investigate getting some manufactured specially and selling them to others at cost, but don't expect the unit price to be reasonable!

If anyone needs them, please post how many you would want and whether they're for the 5-rnd or 10-rnd magazine.
