There's a couple at my local PSG club, one runs fine, the other is always jamming. They guy with the one that jams is new to the sport though and may be doing/not doing something that causes it.

The only thing i've consistently heard to be extra careful with the magazine spring as they're apparently easy to twist/mess up.

Personally speaking if i was buying now i'd save an extra £150 and get a Beretta 1301

What is it with you two? I guess though if JM puts his name to it, it must have some quality. Though saving the money for a Beretta or Benelli always seems a better bet.

I had one, more jam than Robertsons.

It's quite telling that JM himself doesn't use that shotgun in stock form and has it completely reworked with new springs etc. His open class 930 is a Roadblocker model with speedloader chute and muzzle brake.

If you buy one it can be made more reliable, the shell stop and mouth of the mag tube needs to be polished as do a few points on the trigger group. Replace the magazine follower and cut 5-6" off the magazine spring. Clean the piston after every outing, ultrasonic cleaner is your friend.

Or you could just buy a Stoeger M3K and run it clean or dirty and it will work all the time - mine needed a new extractor after 3000 rounds, but it was £30- for Benelli parts and 2 mins to fit.

I've gotta admit the inertia system appeals because of cleaning issues...but the JM claims to be very quick...

Shot to shot times on the JM vs the M3K might be a bit quicker if you're taking down a plate rack, but on a natural terrain stage it's moot as you're moving more than shooting. When the JM s*** the bed in the last stage of a 10 stage comp it won't matter anyway.

Faster than a JM shot to shot is the 1301 and the Versamax, IMO.

Watch how little the Versamax muzzle moves, but ignore the slow time and crap reloading strategy.

Aren't Stoegers made on Beretta/Benelli machinery in Turkey with some parts being full Benilli?
