Hi from NE scotland

#1 Post by desperatedan »

Hello all,

Been lurking for a while and felt it about time I started contributing given the amount of great info etc that flows around this forum.

I got into shooting FB etc when very young in the late 60's with my father and first got my own ticket as a teenager in the 70s. Vintage Arms & Muzzleoaders clubs in East Anglia, Essex, Herts & Cambs - ranges Horsford, Thetford, Barton Road, Gravesend, & long defunct Royston (anyone remember the walk past the rugby pavilion/sports pitches?). Then life got in the way as usual - career, marriage, family took me away from the sport.

Thanks to the old man (himself still an active shooter at 75) got back into shooting a couple of years ago and last year moved North.
Recently joined Cawdor RGC - fantastic range, club & friendly bunch- highly recommended!

Cheers

Kevin

Welcome Kev, Cawdor looks a great range and I really want to get up there sometime.

Hello Kevin - welcome to FBUK.

I'm a very active Cawdor RGC member, but I can't place you. Please say "hello" at the range so we know who you are.

Hi Rob

I'm a fellow K31 owner. Shot in the service rifle comp last week. I think we've chatted a few times already.

Ah with you now - clearly dementia is kicking in at my end.

Apologies, just didn't make the connection.
