bwss won't let you start with a loaded shotgun. I like how her husband 'invented' holding a cartridge a certain way.

i pick up and over drop into my 1897, using the trigger hand i find awkward, , easier to hold two, throw first in, back round, slam fire, next in, slam, open. as moving to next pair, pick up 2 more. - also can't move and load.... but can move and hold cartridges

guess what i'm doing in the morning?? lol

One question I've wondered Brad, what does it feel like to slam fire an 1897? Also is yours a Norinco repro? If I ever wanted a pump for anything, that would be my go to gun just for the unique look and the way it is.

A mere youth....mine is 116; same serial no. range as the 97's issued during the Bolo Uprising.
