Glock LBP

Re: Glock LBP
I like that but can someone bring out a CZ SP01 Shadow LBP please!
Also why does the barrel have to be permanently fixed to the frame? Shotguns aren't nor are rifles is it a '88 or '97 amendment thing or simply functional?

Mostly functional I think. On full bore pistols the slide has to be locked to the barrel when fired, most but not all use a tilting barrel system to achieve this, so the barrel has to be able to move. With low powered .22 rounds it's a simple blowback setup, so the barrel can be fixed to the frame which can make the pistol more accurate.
Re: Glock LBP
It's likely better that way, the few 22 lr Imbel fals that in the uk have horrendous reliability issues which illustrates why its often to better to build as a rimfire from the ground up rather than using a centerfire frame.ordnance wrote:Also why does the barrel have to be permanently fixed to the frame? Re: Glock LBP
The slide is from tactical Soloutions, it's their rimfire conversion for Glock pistols, which if the reviews are to be believed are a bit hit and miss when it comes to reliability.Sixshot6 wrote:The Frame looks to be from Lonewolf in the form of their timberwolf frame https://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=80127Blackstuff wrote:He says in this video the completed gun comes from 5 different manufacturers but not exactly who they are
The frame's arent' assembled so have never been a "full" gun.
Re: Glock LBP
It would cost too much to modify a standard Glock frame, it would need lightened and the firing pin is in the wrong place for a start.
Re: Glock LBP
The firing pin, or in this case, striker, is in the slide.ordnance wrote:It would cost too much to modify a standard Glock frame, it would need lightened and the firing pin is in the wrong place for a start.
Re: Glock LBP
Possibly but you would have to modify a firing pin designed to strike center fire cartridges to strike the rim of a rim fire cartridge. The firing pin, or in this case, striker, is in the slide.
Maybe a modified ( longer barrel ) . 22 conversion for the CZ 75 would be a better starting point if it could be done legally. I have used one and it's very reliable.

thats what suffolk wanted to do in the first place but Gaston said no !
Re: Glock LBP
Not possibly, actually, the slide already exists, they've just added a 12" barrel.ordnance wrote:Possibly but you would have to modify a firing pin designed to strike center fire cartridges to strike the rim of a rim fire cartridge. The firing pin, or in this case, striker, is in the slide.

So to sum up, they used a Lone wolf frame, with a TacSol slide, added a coat hanger and a 12" barrel and it's built by a mate of theirs in Texas named Dave.
Re: Glock LBP
they've just added a 12" barrel. Really Bam Bam ?
You seem to know it all, so can you tell me more? Maybe you can tell me how many slides we got made or barrels before the pair worked? Or the multiple frames with different mods.
Please dont guess or fill in the bits you dont know.
Its easy to say "oh its Tacsol or lone wolf" etc But a-lot of what you say is wrong.
To make some thing like this is a monumental project.
Glock were not helpful. So its a total scratch built "every thing" modded or remade, and trying to get the sum of parts to work together is a nightmare.
Saying its made by my mate Dave, is like saying that new Terminator film has some bloke called Arnold in it.
G17/22 so here it is, in its latest guise.
Fluted 12" barrel, (first prototypes had a solid barrel) with newly re-designed slide and internals.
9mm has a ton more power to overcome the miss alignments & friction which the .22 couldn't. We solved the original frame's jamming issue, caused mainly by a combination of friction and the low power of 22 ammo.(By throwing it away and starting again)
BRAND NEW frame design & new spring rates, to add reliability to the .22 set up In testing it now loves H.V. ammo. Trigger has been improved dramatically with a change of parts and spring rates.
It has one more trick, which i wont say just yet, to be revealed. Its the ultimate .22 LBP.
Barrel shroud and brace pics to follow, but hey this is USA so why fit them now?
