The British Soldiers Firearm...

#1 Post by jjvc »

Been looking for this book at a reasonable price for some time now and managed to find it for £30 last week.
Very pleased with it.

Standard reference work for the British rifled musket.

The writing in this learned tome is as dry as a nuns chumpff.

The detail and historical content however is second to none.

I think, but stand to be corrected, that this book was Mr Road's doctorate thesis..

He is also President of the HBSA.

A must for all rifled musket and Parker Hale rifled musket afficianados.

The author is the same chappie who did the BBC series The Gun.

It was the basis of his thesis.

When I eventually found my own copy I got it signed by him.
