Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

This rule applies to the entire forum.

It's got to be 25 years since I first bought from them. I reckon I spent at least half of my pistol "30 pieces of silver" with them. Really decent people.

But I'm going to temper this. Roger and Sheila are great people, but "back in the day", they were like many others. People who provided a fair, decent, knowledgable and friendly service. Sheila and Roger stand out today because an awful lot of RFDs who have come to the business in recent years are shiesters. There are some notable exceptions, present company accepted, but a lot of times these days I walk into gunshops all over the country and figuratively shake the dust from my feet as I walk out, never mind spend money with them...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

This may be bumping an old post, but they really are great to deal with

Roger was hauled off his sick bed by Sheila to deal with me, so that's another rifle bought from them........

Brilliant people, nice guns too. I look forward to buying another from them once I can afford to do so.

I remember 6 years ago driving all the way from Surrey and back in a day, 4 hours each way to buy a custom ruger 10/22 and ended up with a .357 marlin aswell.
