Newbie alert!!

#1 Post by kri5h »

Hello people :)
Name’s Krish. I must confess I didn’t know about this site until I met Dave and Christel on Saturday at the Phoenix where they spoke about it….and zombies.

I have been shooting full bore about 11 years now. Don’t know much about modern rifles. Am interested in vintage and classic rifles and shoot a fair bit of both. Passion is BPCR and I shoot both 45/70 and 45/90, mostly with paper patch bullets.

Oh yeah, I also like bowie knives and tomahawks too

Now where are the zombies???

ATB and Best Regards.

Hey Krish, it was really good to meet you Saturday and great to see you on the forum. Did you find another rifle over the weekend?

Thanks for the welcome.

Dave, I did find a couple of SMLE for my collection. Awaiting the paper work and more importantly, the necessary funds. But yeah, they are good as mine....My preciousssssssss :D Running out of cabinet space now!

Hi Krish

Welcome to Full-bore UK, it sounds like you'll fit it nicely :)

Early SMLE's? It is always nice when your wife ask you why you didn’t buy a rifle ;)

I was very impressed with the rifle you were shooting Saturday. Could you possibly post some pictures and/or some information up please as I for one would like to know more shooting it and loading for it. I still maintain it is flaky, old fashioned and best got rid of but I suspect you are going to be keeping it for a while yet

This is my Shiloh Long Range Express in 45-90 that I used on Saturday for the BPCR matches.
It sports a 1:18 twist, 34in octagonal bbl and weighs at approximately 15lbs. It has a 'Goodwin' type vernier rear sight. I shoot it exclusively with paper patch bullets.
