Practical shotgun options?

#1 Post by JackDavis »

Hi guys I'm about to put in for a section 1 shotgun for practical shotgun shooting, also want to try some exhibition clay shooting

My questions is what shotguns would you recommend don't mind buying second hand or new depending on prices

Thanks Jack

What sort of makes/models have you in mind, from reading the several recent similar posts on F~B?

Don't really mind, I don't want to buy cheap and end up buying something more pricey down the line, but I don't want to spend over the odds for something which I couldn't use to its full potential

Have a look in the shotgun section, there are quite a few threads covering this.
Also take a look in the sale section wink wink [WINKING FACE]

Talk widely with people who compete in target, practical, and action shotgun events, then decide if you want a box magazine gun (which take less practice to load quickly), or a tube magazine gun where you will need more practice on loading.

I am unable to advise on a semi-auto as I am a pump-gun shooter, but get one that is winning matches, not something passé or cheap.

+1 for the Stoeger
