Hi there, ime new.
Hi all,
i have recently moved to Cornwall and aquired my FAC[lots of rabbits here]. Last week i bought for 400 quid a virtually unused CZ452-2E ZKM .22 rifle which came with leather sling, moderator and a Hawke Nite-Eye 3-9x50 IR scope.
I havnt really used it much yet, had a go at 90 yards yesterday and it hit the target with all 10 subsonic rounds, i suppose about a 5 inch group but havnt had a go at zeroing it yet. The area i was aiming at was the area i hit so ime close to being on target. Is 90 yards too far or should i be zeroing a bit closer. I have plenty of land on which to shoot so this wont be a problem, albeit its a bit hilly.
Having looked at other forum posts, it seems a nice place to be and i hope oneday to make some useful contribution. I will soon be doing a variation on my FAC as ime looking at a Gallery gun and a .243 and a black powder pistol.
Looking forward to hearing from you and thanks for having me on here.
Andy

Welcome to the forum Andy. I would suggest heading down to your local ammunition shop and buying a box of as many different makes/types of ammunition you can find and shooting them to see which one works best for you. We have a friend who swears by Winchester Super X subs for his CZ452 with 16" barrel and silencer.

I was admiring the logs, oh and the AGA as well. We need a new thread on the merits of the AGA cooker as I keep telling my wife we need one, eventually...dromia wrote:Nice chair BTW.

Thank you all for your kind words, been down here in Cornwall for 7 months and moved from East Sussex. Had a Rayburn there, just fed it logs. This one is an oil fired Aga which ime getting used to. Much better than gas i feel, never got used to using the stuff personally but horsed for courses.
I will try out as much ammo i can to see what suits the gun best. Ime off to the rifle club in Looe tonight to practice some long rifle shooting, not very good at the moment but improving.
