What load are you using in your .44 revolvers?

Anything muzzle loading in here. Old and new, rifles, shotguns, pistols and even cannons!

Unfortunately, my indoor club doesn't allow BP in revolvers and pistols, just the substitutes.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I would find a less oppressive and more enlightened club.

The other clubs allow proper BP.

Aye that is one view, you will find others equally well argued.

Thanks for the tip on this, just started reading this today.

Thanks, I downloaded all 8 in the series and have been reading them during quiet periods at work.

Just saw this thread, thought I'd chuck in this pic of my Uberti firing with a very stout load. You can see the flash from the igniting cap showing potential for igniting the next chamber over if you had poorly fitting caps or if a badly fitting cap had fallen off and allowing a chain-fire.

(Hammer only appears to be back because I clicked the cable release on the camera to fire the flash to illuminate the revolver a split second before ignition.)
