What load are you using in your .44 revolvers?

Anything muzzle loading in here. Old and new, rifles, shotguns, pistols and even cannons!

And here was me thinking you'd developed a self cocking load, disappointed now.

Good photograph.

My go to charge for the .44 holster revolvers is 24 gns 2f or 3f, I prefer 2f
I'm glad I read that because I've been using 3f because "that's what everybody uses in a revolver". In last Sunday's club comp I used a weighed charge of 24g of 2f and the gun shot really well. So it's 2f from now on for me and it simplifies my powder holdings in that I now no longer will need to buy 3f. I'm already using 2f in both .45 long guns. Thanks dromia I wouldn't have gone against conventional wisdom before.

Glad it has worked for you, conventional wisdom is not always wise.
