Yeah its a proven caliber,my stalkin rifle is 30-06 too,and I stupidly got rid of a tika varmint in 30-06 (all through a 5p at 200 yards!) But it kicked like a mule,and was uncomfy to shoot.

Kev, I think I might know where one is coming up for sale.......
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
