Re: Caledonian Arms VZ61
Feroza from Caledonian stated it was a rifle as in carbine as I stupidly asked if you could fold the stock (Doh!) so it fits the 300/600 rule.
There was a TV star on the stand as the VZ58 that was used on "Shetland" made an appearance, but I didn't get an autograph. My wife wasn't impressed as I kept re-winding the programme just to keep telling her and showing her a rifle like mine was on the telly (sad I know as I don't even like the programme).
The 9mm MARS is held up because of the Czech engineer in charge of it is apparently quite ill.
....and finally interesting to see in the back of the CZ catalogue (the one with the Leopard Girl and Leopard on the cover) they are showing the VZ58 and VZ61 as available product. They are presumably getting Czech Small Arms to supply them back with their old designs.

Re: Caledonian Arms VZ61
Here are some more pictures, sorry about the quality. I'll take some video when I get the fake can and get it out on the range. I have ordered a wood grip for the classic look...

Re: Caledonian Arms VZ61
Sorry, wanted to show the detail of the gun as it's just a long skinny barrel. CCA posted a pic of the whole gun on their Facebook page:
No steel magazines for it, the mags are slightly deeper than the .32ACP from what I understand. These ones seem to feed well though. Wood grip should fit straight on.
It makes a nice stable mate to the Saiga 22, I just finished off a 19 round magazine for that in a steel 30 rounder body

Yeah, I can see the attraction of that!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
