Can anyone tell me if there is any ammunition for .17HMR which does not have an expanding projectiles?

No, there isn't. There was a .17HMR Henry lever gun in my local place and had been there for ages. Price on it just kept coming down. Considered it seriously, but when looking at ammo, it became problematic. Can't even use the guidance clause of expanding in lever guns because it's a rimfire....
I don't think they ever sold it...

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Well, everyday's a school day!
Looks like it was introduced four years ago or so, specifically for less meat damage on the smaller game such as squirrels. Good find! Who are CCI importers? Still GMK? If that had only been around when I "needed" it!

I tried those a while back, didn't find them very accurate through my HB Savage. Then again as we all know, what doesn't work for me doesn't necessarily mean it won't work for you.

Friend wanted a 17 Mach 2 Barrel for his Thompson Contender. He wanted it for target shooting but as solid ammo was not readily available Police would not grant a variation.
They eventually did grant him his variation though when he produced a note from a Farmer saying he was allowed to shoot Bunnies on the farm.

Thanks, DL. Sent them an email. The FMJ ammunition is still listed on the CCI web site.
