Poor Lee Enfiled

#1 Post by Joe Pugh »

Watching the Homeland series on Netflix last night and come across this.

Only on the screen for a second but had to take a pic of it.

Seems like a butchered SMLE :bad:

I think it's more likely one of the newly manufactured products of the Indian Ordnance Factories in 8x50R Mannlicher/0.315" (.303 would be illegal to sell to the public in India).

Looks like a Pretendy AR/CSR rifle to me, just awaiting the addition of the ubiquitous black painted fairy liquid bottles they fit for some reason.

Maybe a Bradley or a Lantac creation?

Made in South Africa, sold as a truck rifle for farmers.

This one has the alloy Galil stock from the early R4.

Here's one for sale.

I think Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III and the shotgun is a Maverick Model 88.
