Adler 12 bore lever action importer?
http://www.practicalsportingsupplies.co.uk/index.html
Is this the guy who is supposed to be bringing them into the uk? His website seems a bit unfinished, can Saddler and Sim confirm or dismiss this as the guy they meant please?
Edit: Doesn't list the 20 or 16 inches as options for sale, so that raised a red flag for me as being the person who was mentioned

fixed it for you.hobbesy wrote:Needs a 20 inches barrel
I thought a 20 inch barrel, is part of the attraction, or just get a pump or semi. It's legally able to go down to 12 if 24 inch oal is kept. Just adds to the expense if you have to get it cut down.

Just as I thought, sounds weird. What gives? Something seems off.saddler wrote:click on the site's link for the shotguns - get wooden picnic tables!!

That's the guy yes. Didn't know he even had a website so I guess it's just unfinished. Met him at the shooting show, nice chap, seems big into the practical scene, knows the guys at shield etc. Says he's bringing quite a few in. Give him a shout.

How cares, can you imagine how cool a 24" lever action would lookSixshot6 wrote:fixed it for you.hobbesy wrote:Needs a 20 inches barrel

It's cool but since lever action's on section 1 don't have the same barrel length restrictions as pumps or semi's, that was part of the attraction of the 1887 repro's. Problem is they aren't designed with modern loads (12 bore 2 3/4's, they were made with 12 2 1/2 inch shells instead). So the attraction is to have shorter than 24 inches, just.... well whatever reason's you want, maneuverability being easier than a pump or semi with a 24 inch in a manual class practical comp for example.hobbesy wrote:How cares, can you imagine how cool a 24" lever action would lookSixshot6 wrote:fixed it for you.hobbesy wrote:Needs a 20 inches barrel

Safety First, I know it's legal to have a shotgun or rifle cut to legal length (in this case less than 24 inches, some 13 inches are being sold in Canada that would be uk legal of the 16 inch pistol grip only model that saddler mentioned some weeks ago). Why did I not see 20 inches in the options? Is the guy saddler mentioned different or has he not got those models yet? Or will being cut down be a service he is offering? Anyway It's one more option for uk shooters.

I can't tell you much I'm afraid other than I don't think his website is for public consumption yet (though his other business DOES sell picnic benches etc). Give him a call. I've got one on order.
Re: Adler 12 bore lever action importer?
Any idea where he's based, please? I would like to look over one of these.
