Marlin 44

#1 Post by Mike357 »

Jeez, only just got my ticket back after the variation so I thought I'd phone Brian Fox to see when he is coming to Scotland stalking as he is bringing the Marlin with him. His answer......tomorrow!

I told him that I was waiting for a cheque to clear to fund part of the payment and he said that's fine, just send it on.

Shooting folk are really a decent and friendly bunch, well most of them.

Brian is very good, I have sent him a cheque for stuff in the past and the items have arrived a couple of days later, I doubt he had banked the cheque let alone cleared it.

Honourable men are honourable men, regardless from where in the walk of life......

But, whwn you find a schiester, you get a schiester and then stereotype.....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Picked up the Marlin, she is a belter. Nice wood with one or two tiny little dings and the blueing is perfect.

Needs to go to SYSS for a full tune up but still a top buy. Hell I might even stop lusting after a SGC 9mmLR now.

The tune up you could do yourself with a modicum of common sense....
