I'M BACK - ALMOST
Hi Guys,
Yes thanks for all the niceties. Great to know I was missed.
I was out the country and doing some OTR training with cops amongst other things - but that had to be curtailed due to other circumstances
Sadly after 5 weeks out I had to return to the UK (arrived back this morning) as my old fella passed away on Friday 3rd December just turned 84 in September. He had cancer but was responding to radiotherapy - seems the journey to and from the hospital was taking it's toll so they kept him in - and he plummeted after that - he went in OK Monday, gone ealry Friday (yesterday).
Could not get back before he died due to adverse weather across Europe and closed Glasgow and and other airports.
Now sitting at the PC I bought him before I left doing this.
Gimme a while and I'll be back, need to sort out everything.

Anyway to end on an upbeat note and show I am still with it, here's the question for today:
"Do you think there would be less litter in Britain if blind people were issued with pointy white sticks"
And finally: When Paddy was asked if he preferred legs or breast he said that he actually had a particular preference for shaven f@nnies. ................
He was quickly informed that this was NOT an option at KFC!
Cheers all.

Har har. That should annoy someopne

Nice to see you back, and I am sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I am not sure if words from the internet really help during times like this but if we can help in any please just shout.
Yes I know Mods... delete it some time please.

Re: I'M BACK - ALMOST
Cheers folks really appreciate the sentiments. Mrs T quite upset - as is my son who doted on him.
All this stuff is a doddle when you are doing it for someone else as a job of work, not the same this time. Definitely a bummer.
ANYWAY:...........................
I've been trying to cheer myself up so I thought I would look at my racing snail. He has been underperforming recently so I thought I would streamline him him a bit by cutting his shell away at certain aerodynamic points.
Not sure it was the right thing, if anything he is now looking a little bit sluggish................

I was looking out the hotel window early last week when I saw an Asian guy get knocked down by a speeding lorry:
I thought "That could have been me".

Good to see you on the forum again.
I am very sorry to hear about your father passing away, your father reached a good age however I am sure that doesn't make the loss any easier.

Nice to have you back, Chuck, it's a shame about the circumstances.
You have my sympathy and condolences for your loss.
I know how you feel - I got call phone call from Australia, this morning, to say the my Grandfather passed away today from cancer as well.

Lost my Dad when I was 16, which probably explains a lot.

Thanks Rob. No it doesn't, but at least I knew it was on the cards and it helps that I'm removed from it all, being over here.Robin128 wrote:It just doesn't stop, does it? Condolences Sandgroper.Sandgroper wrote:Nice to have you back, Chuck, it's a shame about the circumstances.
