Re: Berdan de-capper
There is an amazing u tube video on doing it....u just need a bit of wood a drill set then u need a ratchet extention or headless screwdriver....rest the case in a pre drilled bit of wood as a holder with hole for cap to pop out fill the case with water and walk the tool in the case, the hammer hitting the tool intern creating pressure in the water will decap the burdan....the video explains it better...I tried it and it works very very well....u just need the right tool to fit just right inside the case..
When someone says "it's not about the money" you know what? it probably is all about money!

Thanks, Roger. In the absence of other replies that looks like plan A. I might be at Yarners on Monday but failing that should definitely be there Thursday morning.dodgyrog wrote:I could lend you one for a week or two

Re: Berdan de-capper
Easy to make this is my Berdan de-capper made from a coach bolt and broken 1mm drill shank.
I use the Lee case chamfer tool with a hole drilled in the middle to accommodate the anvil, to remove the primer crimp from military brass. Simples!
