Post-apocalypse transport.

If we entered a time of Civil Unrest/Armageddon/Zombie Attacking, what would we do?

Seriously though my Mrs's dad gave me a Honda 600 Transalp recently, it needs a bit of work and I'm tempted to turn it into a "post apocalyptic " rat bike.

When you have ran out of petrol on your gas guzzler and your mk1 horse has been shot cause it showed signs of turning you won't be laughing at me then.

If the 'apocalypse' is anything involving an EMP then anyone without a MK1 horse, a vintage vehicle with no susceptible electronics or a shed load of trainers is gonna be screwed. Moral of this is be really nice to the old guy down the road with a Morris Minor, if Russia gets arsy he's one of the few still trucking....

Wouldn't the capacitor in the Morris Minor Distributor be fried by the EMP?

Sorry for being a Smart Ass... :p :D

:-) Even if it was you can knock up a new one from tinfoil, cling film and tape in about ten mins... and off you go. Everyone with a modern fried vehicle has to walk to the shops before they can start looting.

A Norton sounds pretty darn good - survival with style...

60+ mpg as well when ridden nicely and all you need is some bailing wire to fix the things.
