Sig P226 with SightMount

Sig P226 with SightMount
I have just fitted my Sig with a SightMount which allows me the options of using standard open metal sights and within seconds change to a Red Dot. If anyone else wants to do this make sure you order the "SightMount" for the .22 conversion slide for the P226. Best to e-mail Jim Drago first as he has to make these specially. Cost me $84.00 plus £21.00 import duty etc - Below are some images of the sight in situ. I also have a set of Crimson Trace Laser Grips on my Sig not the standard grips as supplied by Icon Arms
Re: Sig P226 with SightMount
Nice i am thinking of buying one of these for my CZ 75.
Re: Sig P226 with SightMount
I have a bridge like this for my Sig, but you cannot use a Practical holster with one of these. I have a DOUBLE ALPHA RIG, so I need to lock the Sig in place by the trigger guard. By using the sight Mount I have no issues using a practical comp holster.
Ps Nice CZ and no coat hanger lucky you in NI

Re: Sig P226 with SightMount
Actually you can..... The H&S Speedsec 5 with no fettling and minimum fettling of the base of the weaver mount of the sight mount works fine. A friend of mine used it very successfully with his K22 before moving to a Shield mini-sight.qws wrote:I have a bridge like this for my Sig, but you cannot use a Practical holster with one of these. He moved to the mini-sight to lower the sight line nearer to the bore-line to obviate the need for hold over/under at varying distances. A definite problem with this mount and, I'll bet, with the mount you've put on your Sig.
