Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

A1 Guns Swansea

#1 Post by walesdave »

Had a few hours spare in Swansea today - a city I've never really spent time in before.

Googled 'Gun Shops Swansea' and found A1 Guns....20 minutes from the city centre using GPS.

What a bunch of nice guys! Lovely setting just outside of the city itself in a bit of farmland. Retail store and on-site gunsmith.

Great selection of 'cheaper' rimfire and shotguns. as well as more pricey oferings - I walked away with an ERMA M1 in .22rf plus 2 mags for £135 lollol

Definately recomend.

Cheers

2nd visit to A1 Guns in Pontarddulais today.

Took my 10 year old to shoot air rifle and pistol on their 'in-house' range.

They have 3 ranges; 1 x 10m indoors 'tin can alley' type then 2 more outdoor ranges going up to 70m (I think).

We had our own air pistol and were lent an air rifle to use.

Not sure abourt exact pricing as I traded in a very ratty old 12 bore to cover the bill! I think it would have been about £10-12ish for range time, rifle hire and a tin of pellets - the range fee is £3 per person for 2 hours but theres a big sign saying "unless people are waiting', feel free to carry on as long as you want" which I think is nice.....

Can't recomend any higher; my 10 year old had a great time, very pleasant staff who talked to her on her level without talking down to her, good 'starter' range set up which let her experience hitting the target etc. We're already planning our next visit in a fortnight :good:

Still can't work out how to embed Youtube videos so go here to watch walesdave jnr doing her thing :wales: https://youtu.be/qdaKtDRJhGw
