Rothenburg in Bavaria, we did a weekend there a few years back pre-kids.
It's a lovely little 'fairy tale' village.

Thanks for your post mag41uk. I am off to Washington DC on Saturday & made good note of your recommendations.
How big is the NRA Museum ? Any idea how long should I set aside to have a good nosing ?

We had an excellent camping holiday on Guernsey last summer and I can recommend the underground military hospital and La Vallette underground military museum, if you are interested in the WW2 occupation story.
There are also some impressive coastal defences and restored gun emplacements to visit.
We were surprised at the lack of tourists in August and we could park near any of the beaches without major hassle - a far cry from our experience in Cornwall the same time the year before!

Update for you Mr Badger......
The scoped/suppressed Mosin with the thumbhole stock is a variant of the OTs-48 sniper rifle and the bullpup is a OTs-48k, both developed by the TsKIB SOO ( Central Design and Research Bureau of Sporting and Hunting Weapons) based at Tula. Each 48 and 48k was custom made and the spec and configuration of each rifle varies.

We went to https://bunkermuseumhanstholm.dk/en/ last week.
It was really good, we are planning on going back - so much to see.
