How long does it take a .22lr to travel 800yds?????????

4.43 seconds according to a phone app.

MV 1255fps, 200yd zero, 4.43 seconds to 800 yards. Impact velocity of 281fps and a 2255.2 inch drop...!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

We shoot at 500 yards a couple of times a year.

I do have the distance to shoot across however for me it would be a bridge too far, 400-500 might be a bit more attainable against bigger targets. Something to try on a hot summers afternoon.

Anybody know roughly how much ftlb it would have when it get there?
