I would guess it's got at least 12ftlb of energy left if not slightly more Going off the sounds of the impacts, it sounds just like an air rifle.

Around 7 fpe. From:-

281 x 281 (fps) x 40 (gn) / 450240 = 7.015 ft.lb

Les, do you not go with the constant of 450400? ie 1 pound in grains, multiplied by g (garavity = 32.17 (to two decimal places) fps squared) 450380, rounded to nearest 10? Seems to be a standard in most things that I've read..

(That said, it still comes out at 7.012 ft/lbs! lol)
