.585 bullets wanted
I shoot a Snider Enfield and I've used up my supply of .585 minié bullets I got from a local caster. I believe my original supplier is no longer in business so does anybody know of any other sources?
Alternatively any ideas on suitable moulds or suitable bullets other than mlnlés? Has anybody tried a .58 REAL in a Snider?

Re: .585 bullets wanted
Over the years I have tried almost every Snider bullet mould available and by far the most accurate out to 300 yrds is the KAL .58" Paradox bullet.

Here is a review I did using the pre production mould Rick made for me to test.

I'd let you have some to try but Tom Enfield blagged the last I had off me and with us having the builders in over the summer it is unlikely I'll get to a casting pot before the autumn.

I can testify they where absolutely excellent! Loaded them up as dromia's recommemdations and they put a 6" 3rnd group on to the centre of a NRA bull at 100m. Amazing!
I loaded some 600 round ball and they worked pretty well to. Unfortunately I used kranks nutty slack and the barrel fowlled out within 5 rnds...

The round in the top left was a fouling shot taken from the standing position

The scattering of .303 is from martin2sheds. He's an appalling shot with a SOWR or any rifle really...

Loaded .600 round ball pushed by kranks nutty slack. 3 rnd group was ok, then shot another 3 rnds. Rnds 1&2 when about 1.5ft apart but POI was still central rnd 3 hit the frame. The frame didn't like it much.

Re: .585 bullets wanted
That bullet looks good. The thing is that my Snider only comes out s couple of times a year, so I'm not looking to invest a chunk of money in a mould. The other thing is that my clubs annual bp breach loader match is on the 22nd so unless I can find something suitable I'm out.

Channel12 give Bes bullets a call on 01302 330726 or mseller208@aol.com they sell .594 flat based bullets £35 for a 100 £7.19 postage. Don't know how good the bullets are or what kind of load they need as I've never used them.
