Threadless quick detachable moderator for 22lr

7 years ago a build a collet suppressor for my own use. At this year my friend bougt a new 22lr rifle with out thread on the barrel and he ask me to do something. So, I made a batch of 22Lr threadless quick detachable suppresors.
The can is wery small:
Diameter - 30mm(1.14")
Total lenght - 150mm(5.94")
Barrel extension - 118mm(4.65")
Weight -100g(3.52 oz)
6 chambers




I think this is a good solution for people who have no thread on the barrel and allow to save money for barrel threading.
Customer reports says what there is no POI shift spotted and sound is pretty cool for this small can.

What do you think about it?

Looks like the old system that Parker Hale also used for non-threaded barrels.
Depending on the moderator size (MM1 for rim-fire & MM2 for centre-fire) you could choose a collet that would attach to the barrel.
They also did a collect that locked onto/around the front sight base.

Much better than seeing nice barrels ruined by threading

I know Parker Hale system and I also understand how many troubles were with alignment.
In my suppressor I use single piece what unite rear plug with the collet at this reason I have no issues with concentricity.

Just make it for each rifle with high toleranses and concentricity control. For common rifles models I have made blanks.

What is the middle price in UK for the barrel threading?

I had two barrels threaded. These were heavy target barrels (R55 Benchmark). I got them both threaded in 1/2 x 28 for around £80 each.

When I worked for a section 5 dealer, I remember seeing a milspec suppressor with collet the fixing that fitted over the M16 type birdcage flash hider.......so I guess fitting over what you have should in theory be the same principal ?
