Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

This rule applies to the entire forum.

Merlin field and country: Pontypridd

#1 Post by walesdave »

Stopped in Merlin field and country in Pontypridd today. No website yet but FB page: https://www.facebook.com/Merlinfieldandcountry/

Owned and run by a nice chap and his dad (afraid I didn't get their names).

Smallish shop but a reasonable amount of Sec1 and Sec2 ammunition and a smallish selection of air rifles, rifles and shotguns, clothing, safes etc. - as they've only been stocking guns for 8 weeks I'm sure the amount of stock will rise. They can get things to order no problem though.

Bought some rimfire and 12 bore carts - reasonable prices and while not a huge choice of rimfire, I was assured this is changing in the very near future as new trade accounts have been set up.

Altogether a good looking shop with a lot of potential run by two guys who came across as friendly and knowledgeable. They'll definately be getting a lot of my ammunition business and if the selection of used rifles and shotguns increases I can see myself buying a gun or two of them as well :good:

For those of you blessed with living in Gods own country :wales: the shop is about 6 or 7 minutes from the A470 / Pontypridd Sainsburys junction.
